According to the twitter counter, 103k followers are getting their Web designer depot fix. I can understand why. The table of contents shows you just about everything you need to know is a topic that Web designer depot covers.

This is a must visit site if you are looking for a blogger template. This new site has an impressive 189 followers who are treated to theme craft's newest style several times a week.

From all appearances, this site started August, 2009 (site domain registered in August, 2007 but posting started August, 2009) and already has 71 beautiful templates free for you to use. They are also hiring blogger template makers if you are looking for work.

I am shocked that no one yet advertises on their 'advertise here' spaces. I would think these spots would have been scooped up by now.

You can be one of the featured bloggers simply by using a Shabby Blogs background and by leaving a comment. You can also find her disappearing nav bar tutorial and how to create your own grab button useful for your blog.

Although I don't like to use a vintage or shabby chic style for my blog, I do visit shabbyblogs often to see the newest addition to this growing source of backgrounds, buttons and tutorials.

This is the first blog I read and found it to contain just about everything you need to know about blogging.

The author, Kranthi, does answer questions in his comments section and has been a great help to new bloggers. If I had to select one blog as a resource, bloggertricks.com would be the one.

This blog does contain guest posts and other information not related to blogging as a refreshing change of subject from the technical jargon.

I strongly suggest a visit to this blog. You will not be disappointed.

I found this blog when attempting to add a signature to posts on blogger. The tutorial was well written and informative.

Other features on this blog include recipes, free fonts and the cutest pictures of boston terriors.

This blog design is very pretty and the layout is cohesive. I normally do not visit 'cutesy couples' blogs, but I did enjoy this one.

The Creative Junkie

I googled 'how to get a grab button for my blog' and ended up at blogging with sucess. The blog post uses the creative junkie's blog button as

an example and I obviously had to visit that creator's blog. I was impressed by the layout and content. Do have a peek at the bottom of her blog as buttons will send you to other addicting blogs.

I have not yet figured out this 'blog button' as I believe I have been sucked into momgiveaways, acontestblog, and gobs of giveaways.

Favicon for your blog

Blogger Buster has a lot of useful information and a tutorial on how to add your favicon to your blog.

I suggest getting a free photo hosting account at ripway or imageshack for your favicon. Using photobucket is not suggested as they often remove images from accounts.

You can use several methods to get your favicon pic. I just resize my pic at picresize and upload at ripway. You can also generate your favicon at dynamic drive.

Note: ~ visiting Blogger Buster gets you an immediate pop up asking for your twitter id and twitter password~protect your twitter account and 'X' this message out~you will get a second pop up asking for the same info, 'X' it out again and you are good to go~Run Ad Aware and/or SpyWareBlaster to remove the cookie from your computer after you visit this site~I've had NO problems with this site but it's best to be safe~

Choosing my blogger template

The first step to blogging is to choose a template. I found a variety of free blogger templates at btemplates.com.
There is a wide variety to choose from and a 1 to 5 star rating. I selected 'Design Blog' and found it easy to install. You can make changes to your template and I will blog about where to find help to do that.
